With these two magazines I have decided to analyse mise en scene. As we see from the Mojo magazine, the coverstars "the smiths" are holding a guitar which is relatable to the type of genre they are associated with. This is Indie Rock, where the themes are very grungy and gritty, their facial expressions compliment this as it is very neutral showing no emotion, however the guy in the back who is holding the guitar, seems to be struggling. This could simulate a theme for the magazine as it could mean he is tired from producing or creating new songs. This magazine contrasts to the other magazine "We Heart Pop" as the colour is very vibrant which links with the facial expressions of Cheryl Cole as she is smiling showing the happiness instead of the gritty persona of the Mojo coverstars.
